This photo really captures what the Monet painting might look like today

Unlike many of the other entries, this one truly reflects the specific painting that is the target of this contest.

Finally, an entry that answers the contest challenge to "let (your)cameras be the paintbrushes and submit modern interpretations of Impressionist paintings...to answer the question, what would their compositions look like today?" This photo entry captures the spirit of Monet's painting of his Argenteuil home as it would appear today in the 21st century, after modern updates of architecture, landscaping, courtyard, and plantings, and even updated children's clothes and toys. I see the same use of bright, natural color, strong contrasts of light and dark, and use of perspective to create depth, which Monet would likely use today as a photographer. Monet's keen attention to detail is evident here too, as Mom (maybe Monet's great-great granddaughter??) stands in the doorway watching her children at play.
Outstanding composition, good contrast, best "modern interpretation of given subject matter". Overall, a great "modern impressionist photo", Weldon.
