The Cyclists' Lunch

Robert Bowser

Renoir might have had difficulty finding rowers at White Rock Lake, but cyclists and walkers are plentiful.

You can tell these two are enjoying each others' company...and in this beautiful setting...makes for a really nice picture.

Couple focused on one another -- not posing and looking around. Photo not doctored up as others have been.

I like the couple concentrating on each other and the people in the background enjoying a beautiful day of leisure.

Excellent composition... the eye travels from the couple in the foreground to the walkers/cyclists in the mid-background and finally to the lake and distant shore in the far background. A very nice overall impression!

It must have been tempting to use the "Renoir" button on the camera. Glad you didn't. Who is that stunning vision your lunching with Bob? Looks like a real charmer!

To share lunch with your life partner and with every passing person, a memory of your own life walks by.

Beautifully done, is that Gram's? and who is the mystery cyclist in the distance? TDII? TDIII? Love the beauty in the scenery and all there is to take in, well done!

An absolute winner that captures the soul of the painter. The incident is natural, not posed; warm, not saccharine, it elicits emotion and involvement from the viewer. A captured moment not contrived.

Very nice, photo takes you there, seems 3D.

A nice image, but the distinction between the foreground and background is a bit too sharp. Almost like two images are photoshopped together. Has a 3 dimensional feel to it though.

This photo should have won. Maybe I should be taking pictures to aim for second and I will get first. I love the way he is looking at her. His wisdom of her and how he is truly enjoying his companion. I like the way the background is out of focus just enough to not distract from the two people, but just enough to not draw from it. It is not the best I have seen but it is sweet
