Grapes, Lemons, Pears and Pears

Shelley Hendershot

This is not photoshopped at all. I chose to shoot through the wavy glass of a shower door to achieve the softer, slightly blurry effect. I feel it gives a brushstroke look to the composition and still allows the fruit to show glow in the light.

Impressions

This is beautiful. Having seen the shower door in question, I am continually amazed at Shelley's ability to see beauty in the commonplace.

I don't need my glasses. Didn't some of the impressionist painters have astigmatism?

It's quite lovely, like a painting, with fresh colors.

I'm not much for the artsy fartsy but this is cool.

I love it! I taught photography in high school for 25 years, and I give Shelley an A+ for her creative style.

The effect is very unusual--great colors. All the shapes look so soft. Hard to believe this is a photo.

It's amazing! Up close it looks soft and blended, but as you back away the picture becomes crisp and sharp and looks like a completely different photo. Awesome work Shelley!

Blurry is blurry. Take a hammer to the shower door and take a clear picture. And then ask why anyone photographs fruit.

A consistent eye that sees beauty through the camera - and captures it. Beautiful shot.
