I took this photo of a bowl of fruit that was sitting on the window sill in the gray light of an overcast day in Moscow, Russia. Life is so much simpler there, and there was nothing ornate about the apartment in which I was staying. Simple, functional, and beautiful - - just as I found this bowl of fruit.

I like that you can see the imperfections in the lathe and plaster wall behind the fruit, its real and un-staged. Fantastic!!!
